Terms and Conditions

Change Orders
 

WM HOME IMPROVEMENT will perform only those services in the estimate/proposal
approved by the CLIENT. If the CLIENT shall, at any time, require services not listed in the
estimate/proposal, a written change order shall be created and approved by both parties prior to
the performance of such work. WM HOME IMPROVEMENT reserves the right to revise any
estimate/proposal in the following circumstances:


The CLIENT changes his/her instructions and/or the scope of the work required;
There are unforeseen circumstances and/or the work becomes unduly complicated
and/or protracted;
Further works are required to carry out CLIENT’s original instructions;
If there is an increase in the price of the materials and/or any tax or duties payable on
materials.

 


Permits, Licensing, & Approvals


The CLIENT is responsible for procuring any permits or approvals required for the completion
of the projects listed in the estimate/proposal unless otherwise stated. This includes any zoning
changes or changes to applicable covenants or local building guidelines.
WM HOME IMPROVEMENT shall be responsible for any professional licensing required for
the execution of the work outlined in the scope of work.

 


Insurance & Loss Coverage


CLIENT agrees to maintain adequate property insurance to protect against loss or damage due to
theft, fire, vandalism, etc.

WM HOME IMPROVEMENT agrees to maintain reasonable liability insurance to protect
against personal injury or loss.
Both parties agree to provide copies of the insurance certificates for their respective policies to
one another upon request.

Site Conditions
 

The scope of work and pricing for this estimate/proposal is based on conversations and any
walkthroughs completed by WM HOME IMPROVEMENT and the CLIENT. WM HOME
IMPROVEMENT has taken reasonable measures to ensure that the scope of work and pricing
represents the entire project requirements, but cannot guarantee a final price due to the
possibility of unforeseen complications. In the event that unforeseen complications, including
(but not limited to) mold, termites, structural damage, or building code violations are discovered
after the project begins, WM HOME IMPROVEMENT will cease work on the project and draft
a change order listing any additionally required materials or labor. The CLIENT agrees that any
unforeseen complications may increase the final price of the project. The CLIENT agrees to
make payments via cash, electronic payment, or credit/debit card.

Warranty

 

WM HOME IMPROVEMENT does not offer or imply any warranty for materials used for the
project. Any defect or failure of parts or materials used in the project shall be the sole
responsibility of the CLIENT. WM HOME IMPROVEMENT shall extend a warranty for all
labor for a period of warranty months. This warranty covers installation and workmanship.
Should the CLIENT discover any incomplete, incorrect, faulty, or failed workmanship during the
warranty period, WM HOME IMPROVEMENT shall correct such issues at their sole cost and
expense.

Final Inspection
 

Before making the final payment, the CLIENT will have the opportunity to review all
completed work with WM HOME IMPROVEMENT. The CLIENT will have the opportunity to
identify any incomplete or unsatisfactory work and WM HOME IMPROVEMENT shall address
the issues.

Payment

​

Full payment is due by the CLIENT on completion of work. WM HOME IMPROVEMENT
reserves the right to request payment on account of 30% of the estimate/proposal, should WM
HOME IMPROVEMENT be required to supply materials and/or goods as part of the Works. If
CLIENT does not pay WM HOME IMPROVEMENT upon receipt of invoice then WM HOME
IMPROVEMENT reserves the right to charge interest daily at the rate of 10% per
annum on any amounts unpaid after the final deadline for payment by CLIENT. Such interest
will continue to accrue until payment in full is received from the CLIENT.
